CUSTOMER ADVISORY VALVE STEM INSPECTION PROCEDURE
Dill Air Controls takes very seriously any concern raised about the quality of products we manufacture, as well as products manufactured by others under the Dill brand name that we sell. We are diligently investigating concerns raised regarding how certain snap-in valve stems produced overseas in the second half of 2006 withstand exposure to high ozone levels. If you replace one valve stem for being cracked, we recommend replacing all four valve stems on the vehicle. Please check back for updates regarding Dill ACP valve stems.
The following Q&A is related to filing claims for suspected cracking valve stems under the DILL ACP brand (do not send back non-Dill failed valve stems):
Q. What do I need to send in to file a claim?
A. Fill out the Valve Stem Claim Log (as much as possible), a W-9 Form in order to receive reimbursement, provide the original invoice when the valve stem was installed (if possible), the new invoice for the replacement, and the suspected cracked valve stem associated with your claim. These will be reviewed by Dill and the valve stem manufacturer.
Q. Where do I send my claim?
A. Dill Air Controls Products
Attn: Quality Assurance
1500 Williamsboro Street
PO Box 159
Oxford, NC 27565
Q. How much is the manufacturer reimbursing?
A. The replacement cost of any damaged tires plus $4 per cracked valve stem to help cover the cost of your new valve stem and the labor to install and rebalance.
Q. What number can I call to check on the status of my claim?
A. 919-692-2388
Q. How long will it take to receive my claim response?
A. Approximately 4 weeks to receive a reimbursement check from the valve stem manufacturer via Dill.
